THE WORLD'S ONLY IMPOSTOR SYNDROME-INFORMED COACH™ FOR AUTOMOTIVE PROFESSIONALS

FOR HIGH-PERFORMERS WHO FEEL THE PRESSURE

You’ve mastered the metrics—now master the mindset. It’s time to move from single-player pressure to co-op clarity.

What Is Impostor Syndrome?

It’s not a bug in your personal code or a clinical diagnosis. In fact, the original researchers, Dr. Pauline Clance and Dr. Suzanne Imes, deliberately called it a "phenomenon" because it’s a shared psychological experience, not a permanent flaw. It’s an internal feedback loop where, despite clear evidence of your competence, you feel like a fraud who just got lucky.

This pattern often runs on a predictable, repeating script called the Impostor Cycle :

  1. The Challenge: A high-stakes project or task lands on your desk.

  2. The Glitch: Your system immediately flags it as a threat, triggering anxiety and self-doubt.

  3. The Response: You react with one of two protocols: extreme over-preparation (working twice as hard as anyone else) or strategic procrastination followed by a heroic, last-minute push.

  4. The Result: You succeed. The project is a win. There’s a brief moment of relief.

  5. The Faulty Logic: Your internal OS immediately discounts the success. If you over-prepared, you tell yourself, “I only pulled this off because I burned myself out.” If you procrastinated, you think, “I just got lucky this time.”

  6. The Loop: The success is never internalized. Your core belief that you’re a fraud is reinforced, and you’re primed to run the same stressful program all over again.

The only way to stop the cycle is to rewrite the code.

The System Behind The System

Impostor Syndrome-Informed Coach™ isn't just marketing—it’s a methodology. It means my approach is built on a specific, research-backed framework designed to dismantle impostor patterns at their source.

My work is grounded in the pioneering research of Dr. Valerie Young, co-founder of the Impostor Syndrome Institute, the world’s foremost authority on the topic. Dr. Young’s work revealed that impostor feelings aren't random; they stem from a faulty internal "rulebook" about what competence is supposed to look like.

She identified five core "Competence Types"—or archetypes—that define these unwritten rules :

  • The Perfectionist: Believes work must be 100% flawless, 100% of the time. The focus is on how it’s done.

  • The Superhuman: Measures worth by how many roles they can juggle flawlessly. Prone to burnout from the pressure to excel at everything.

  • The Natural Genius: Believes true competence means getting it right on the first try. If they have to struggle, they feel shame.

  • The Soloist: Believes work must be accomplished alone. Asking for help is a sign of failure.

  • The Expert: Measures competence by how much they know. They fear being exposed as unknowledgeable and are always seeking one more certification before they act.

My training from the Impostor Syndrome Institute means I use this framework as a diagnostic tool. We identify your specific competence type to understand the root cause of your self-doubt.

My approach is the practical application of this insight. It’s the OS upgrade that takes these proven psychological principles and translates them into an actionable strategy, custom-built for the high-stakes environment of the automotive industry. We don’t just talk about the problem; we install a new operating system for thinking.

The Quiet Lie You’ve Been Living

You’re the one driving results—whether you’re closing deals, leading teams, diagnosing engines, or running the numbers that keep the business alive.

But behind every win, there’s a quiet lie that follows you:

“What if they find out I’m not as good as they think?”

That’s not weakness—it’s a pattern. One that high-performers across the automotive world face every day. It’s called Impostor Syndrome, and it’s costing you clarity, confidence, and growth.

You’re not alone—but only you can decide to stop running on doubt.

  • You crush targets but secretly fear you just got lucky. You avoid the high-ticket opportunities that could actually change your game.

  • You hesitate to delegate, doubting your own leadership instincts—and end up burning out doing everyone else’s work.

  • You're the first to arrive and the last to leave, and you see downtime as a waste because you're addicted to the validation that comes from juggling more than anyone else.

  • You’re constantly chasing the next innovation—AI, SDV, digital retail—afraid that one missed trend could make your expertise irrelevant.

  • You drown in dashboards, afraid to push back on senior leadership because “not knowing” might expose you.

  • You’ve got the insight to shift a seven-figure budget, but you water it down to avoid being grilled in the boardroom.
